Join our vibrant Day Centre team

The Lifestyle Support Worker provides high-quality, person-centred support for consumers, while working as part of the EADC team. The Lifestyle Support Worker will work with consumers with low to complex needs and their carers toward achieving individual care plan goals while meeting the group’s needs as a whole.

The role requires skills in working collaboratively with older people, including people with dementia and people with disabilities, and their carers. Encouraging client independence and participation in their community is also required.

The Lifestyle Support Worker works in both our Social Support program and in our Flexible Respite program.

Role: Lifestyle Support Worker – Essendon Adult Day Centre

Award: SACS Class 3 PP 5 ($35+/hour)

Qualifications: Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent/ Certificate IV Leisure and Health/Lifestyle & Leisure


  • Current Police Check 
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Driver’s Licence (Unrestricted)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (including booster)
  • Willingness to work within current COVID safety plans

Position: Part Time / Ongoing (0.69 FTE/26.2 hpw)

Hours of duty: Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 hours (or as negotiated)

Responsible to: EADC Specialist Team Support (Team Leader)

Major Functions/Duties:

  • Design and deliver meaningful group activities
  • Provide Flexible Respite services to carers in their preferred location
  • Computer literacy and documentation skills
