Judy Nolan Treasurer

Diversional Therapy Australia

Diversional Therapy has been part of Judy's life for the past twenty years.

She began her career in New Zealand as an activity assistant, on returning to the workforce after raising her family.

In 1997, Judy and her family moved to Australia and she began the very important task of gaining qualifications that were not available in New Zealand at that time. She firstly gained a Certificate IV in Human & Community Services, then added a TAFE Diploma of Community Services, and more recently an Associate Degree in Social Science (Aged Care) through Australian Catholic University.

Judy had been a member of the New Zealand Diversional Therapy Association and joined the Diversional Therapy Association of  Queensland when she began working in Australia. At this time, she also attended the Gold Coast DT Network Group which has given her friendship and support over the years. Taking this a step further, she was voted onto the Queensland State Committee and also served a short time on National Council before being voted onto the present Diversional Therapy Australia Board.

On a personal note, Judy is married with three children, one of which has recently made her a very proud "Grandma".

She enjoys reading and craftwork and will get her knitting needles on the go again with baby clothes. Travel is another interest Judy and her husband have on their agenda with seeing more of Australia at the top of the list.
